“Pigment Colored Blossom”

Beautiful pigment colored pedals fall,
Wither and die,
Moister from the rain soaks up in the roots to the plants and trees,
That keeps giving life to these things,
Ever since they were seeds,
Then dark skies roll in from the distance from across the rough seas,
A few blossomed trees perched on the edge of the massive cliff overlooking the sea,
Lighting hits and splits the wood in half,
A flame burns out,
After the storm passes by,
Next day a shovel cuts through the soft dirt,
Bleeding out what’s left in the dead rooted veins,
Now beautiful pedals fall from the newly planted tree
